Toby
Balsley:
Toby has participated in the six times International Medaling
Barbershop Quartet, Bank Street, who had their last International
appearance in 2000. He has international medals in both the baritone
and lead voice parts. Toby is a music judge, and an arranger, and
has been a faculty member at The Barbershop Harmony Society’s (BHS)
Harmony College. He works for Perot Systems at Harvard Pilgrim
Health Care, and resides in Quincy MA.

Joe Cerutti: Joe just recently obtained his Masters Degree in
Choral Conducting at Boston University. He also has been the
director of several choruses, sung with several quartets, and been a
faculty member at Harmony College, all before the end of his
twenties! He is currently directing the Alexandria Harmonizers,
based in Alexandria, VA. They have won two 1st place
medals and many International bronze and silver medals within the
past ten years. Joe's musical star is on the rise! .

Matt Mercier: Matt has been a member of the Barbershop
Harmony Society for 30 years. His most recent quartet, Northeast
Connection, won the NED Championship in 1996. Matt has represented
the NED at the BHS International Competition 11 times. He is a past
two-term President of the Nashua NH Chapter of the BHS, and has sung
with the Granite Statesmen Chorus at the international level 8
times. Matt owns a technology consulting and services business, a
fledgling Real Estate business, and three Unfranchises. Matt has two
grown sons, Mike and Jim, who reside in Florida and lives in Manchester NH with his
wife Gina, their dog Zeke and their cat Rajah.

Kirk Young: In addition to winning the Championship of the
Northeastern District of the BHS (NED), Kirk’s former quartet, the
Management has represented the NED in International Competition
twice. Kirk has been a Music Educator on the BHS staff, a successful
chorus director for years, has directed choruses at international,
and has been a faculty member at BHS Harmony College. Kirk is a
music judge, and is a prolific and popular arranger. He is a member
of the Nashua Granite Statesmen and teaches high school band and
chorus in Tilton NH where he lives with his wife Heather and their
boys Conner and Eric.
